This 18,720 sf two-story facility was designed adjacent and connected to an existing single-story telecommunications equipment building that had been designed by KDW in the previous year.

One of the most critical elements of this project was the complete replacement of all major HVAC and power systems for both new and existing spaces. The resulting facility includes switchgear, colocation, 600 kW generator, ASSD fire detection system, and a 200 ton N+1 HVAC system.

The exterior design features a split block CMU face that ties in to the existing structure, with colorful metal siding details. A new colored metal roof mansard with a parapet helps screen the rooftop equipment. Site work included new utilities, landscaping, curbs and walks, and a new security-fenced parking area.

By using careful project phasing and temporary utility support systems, the telecommunications equipment in the existing facility remained 100% operational throughout construction.
