Since late 1998, KDW has been working with Microsoft on over
fifty individual "Move Add Change" (MAC) projects --
encompassing small building maintenance, repairs,
conversions, and interior upgrades that range in cost from
$12,000 to $500,000 and require some form of architectural
permit drawings.
Examples of some of KDW's smaller efforts have included
carpeting replacement, door additions and change-outs, and
repainting, as well as coordination efforts such as a
furnishings plan or a modular prototype workstation
installation plan. Larger efforts have included complete
interior upgrades to finishes and furnishings, minor
remodels to convert computer laboratories into
administrative offices, and space reconfigurations for new
or evolving uses.
Although these projects represent relatively small
architectural efforts, they demand focused attention, rapid
response, strong coordination skills, and seamless teamwork
with the contractor. |
