Since 1998, KDW has worked with Huling Brothers in identifying facility improvements to better serve the needs of sales, support staff, and customers. To date, the scope of work has entailed a redesign of exterior building facades, a basement expansion, and parking garage improvements.

Currently KDW is in the process of designing a renovation to the dealership's 26,000 sf showroom space, including a prominent entry and new lobby connecting two of their main showrooms. Additional scope entails a new 12,600 sf repair shop, the creation of 50,000 sf of parking with a five-story structure, and 10,000 sf of new administrative office spaces. Electrical and mechanical systems will be completely replaced and integrated into the new design.

The original 1940’s building provides the inspiration for the Art Deco style of the new design elements--which will include a glass-front elevator and tower to provide views of downtown Seattle while establishing a focal design feature easily recognizable within its prominent West Seattle location.
