KDW was hired to build a new Data Center on the ninth floor of an existing 12-story building in downtown Seattle. The scope of work entails the removal of carpet, dropped ceiling, and existing ductwork, lighting and fire alarm systems, the installation of seismic restraint systems as well as a new 24” raised access flooring system to accommodate cooling and computer cabling, and upgrades to all mechanical and electrical systems including back-up power. The resulting space will provide a new 6,000 sf computer room, a 600 sf office area, as well as storage and administrative support space.
